Work style of recruitment coach

Recruitment coach, also called as recruitment specialist or talent acquisition specialist is person whose role is to find the best employees for their organization. Recruitment coaches do not usually work alone but rather more in collaboration with the managers of the department they are finding workers for. They either workfrom home or office or are contracted through a recruitment business. Coaches are responsible for attracting, conducting interviews and selecting workers. Generally, area of their work is the human resource department. Often recruitment coaches get promoted, still working within human resource department but on higher positions, mostly human resource generalist, human resource manager or human resource director.

Tasks recruitment coaches usually involves doing surveys, working with managers and head people of the companies or organizations, interviewing possible future candidates and later selecting most suitable for job posting. Depending on role they have at the organization they can request additional training and development of individuals or groups of employees but also oversee that given training, as well as previously designing appropriate training. Also depending on the size of the organization and again role of recruitment coach, they can deal with part of or whole recruitment process and ensure that employees are receiving statutory required training. Besides this, recruitment coaches take big part in maintaining a good connection between employers and their employees, but also with possible future candidates.


Because of all things stated above recruitment coaches have type of work style, and with all of them they will most certainly be successful at their job. Their job requires to be careful and thorough in completing work tasks, and have integrity, be honest and ethical. Recruitment coaches must be pleasant with others on the job, display a good-natured, cooperative attitude, but as well be reliable, responsible, dependable and fulfilling obligations. Concern for others, being sensitive to their needs and feeling, understating and help on the job are unmissable part of work style. Recruitment coaches should be prepared to be initiative, willing to take on responsibilities and challenges, and be confident in their leadership, willing to lead, take charge and offer opinions or directions. 

Since work consists of a lot contact with people, work style is social oriented meaning work is done mostly with others, such as managers, workers, rather than alone. When dealing with training and development, work style involves adaptability, flexibility and innovation. It requires being open to both positive and negative changes, to considerable variety in the workplace, being creative and sometimes using alternative ways to develop new ideas. 

Future recruitment coach needs to be ready to have high level of stress tolerance, accept criticism, deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations. They should also be persistent and oriented towards achievement and effort. No obstacle should make bigger problem. Job requires establishing and maintain personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering or finishing tasks. Other than this recruitment coach must have great self-control, maintain composure, keep emotions in check, controlling anger and avoid aggressive behavior, even if situation is very difficult.
