Marketing Manager, South East Asia

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to grow our Marketing presence within South East Asia countries based in Singapore . In this newly created role, you will be reporting to the General Manager – South East Asia & work with SEA team and Asia Pacific marketing team, customers, distributors & other suppliers. You will be responsible to drive and execute strategies for South East Asia & increase market share, consumer demand & professional recommendation for Cochlear's technologies within SEA countries and build a strong advocacy network.
  • This role is ideal for a strong Product Manager who is ready for their next career move.
  • In this role you will be responsible to execute a direct to consumer strategy across all South East Asia countries, taking into consideration market size and maturity in order to execute short term and establish long term plans.
  • Working with the SEA Commercial Director, you will be involved in assisting product pricing; configuration and product positioning to ensure Cochlear products are competitive across all SEA countries.
  • Lead execution and management of consumer focused initiatives, working with Country champions & distributors to ensure initiatives are implemented.
  • Execute a digital/online strategy for SEA countries, collaborating with APAC marketing team on what direction and strategies will be most suited to the different countries within South East Asia.
  • Execute the Marketing Communication plan and initiatives in co-ordination with local agencies & vendors and ensure availability of marketing collateral for all professional customers.

Key Requirements 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • 7-12 years of experience – either medical device / pharmaceutical or Healthcare domain.
  • Must have worked within SEA region with multi-country experience & cultural awareness across the region.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing (and Economics / Commerce)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Manager External Manufacturing

 Principal Accountabilities
  • Manage all aspects of the relationship with the external manufacturers to deliver reliable product supply while meeting or exceeding all cost, compliance and product(s) requirements
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts for products and services, facilitating execution of legally binding supply agreements formalizing arrangements between Huntsman TE and contract manufacturers
  • Develop programs to improve partner site performance and product supply and ensuring commitments for product availability are met
  • Develop business continuity plans as a means to ensure continued supply in an emergency situation and develop supply market intelligence within key processing technologies to enable rapid benchmarking and accelerated selection of alternative Contract sites
  • Works in partnership across multiple organizations to support several teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing and EHS.

  • Strong analytical/technical aptitude & competence, project management skills and prior experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Experience in country/regional leadership positions in manufacturing as well as supply chain will be advantageous.  China experience preferred
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable communicating across functional levels is required. 
  • Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification and prior knowledge of advanced planning systems such as ERP, MRP, and SAP is preferred.
  • Experience managing Process safety in specialty chemical environment
